APA’s Statement on Andrew Warren
The role of the prosecutor is to serve their communities as ministers of justice. The voters of Hillsborough County, Florida elected Andrew Warren to fulfill that role, which he has done dutifully until his sudden removal by Governor Desantis. Andrew Warren is a leader both locally and nationally who, in his role as prosecutor, has pursued justice, safety and the well-being of his community; duties that were undermined when the democratic process was interrupted by improper use of executive action. We stand with Andrew Warren and all prosecutors who employ the discretion of their office to improve community safety.
