Marcellus Williams executed in Missouri on September 24, after a long legal battle September 25, 2024
Marcellus Williams was executed on September 24th by the state of Missouri for the 1998 murder of Felicia Gayle, a Missouri social worker and news reporter. The case has caused public outcry, as after Williams’ conviction it was discovered that the DNA found on the murder weapon was not his.

Alan Eugene Miller set to be the second person executed by Nitrogen Gas in Texas on September 26, despite claiming to have suffered from mental illness September 25, 2024
Alan Miller is set to be executed on September 26th for shooting and killing three of his coworkers in 1999 due to his belief that they had been spreading rumors about him. Although Miller was “mentally ill at the time of the offenses”, he did not meet the “level of mania necessary” to establish an insanity defense.

Caleb Anderson, who is currently serving a life sentence for murder in Alabama also convicted in murder in Wisconsin September 23, 2024
Caleb Anderson, 25, was convicted on Monday for the murder of Patrick Ernst in Wisconsin in 2022. This comes after his capital murder conviction in January for Dwight Dixon’s death. Authorities believe after murdering Ernst he drove down to Alabama where he later killed Dwight Dixon.

Chevy Kyler Monaghan arrested and charged with capital murder in Austin September 24, 2024
Chevy Monaghan, 21, was arrested on September 21st for the murder of his grandparents, Shari-Mallory Maxa and Anthony Maxa. Officers responded to welfare check calls they received for Monaghan’s grandparents, and upon entry into the home, police found the victims dead and arrested Monaghan.
