SEATTLE- Gun violence continues to rise in the Seattle area, and leaders are trying to find whatever strategy they can to deal with the problem. King County Prosecutor Dan Satterberg argues one big problem with Washington's gun laws is that they are way too lenient when it comes to kids under 18.  The law is clear that they can't have guns, but many often carry them anyway.  "Very little happens to juveniles until their fifth conviction [for illegal possession]," said Satterberg.  "There's a message that we're sending to kids, which is, hey it's not big deal if you want to pack a gun cause nothing's going to happen to you." Satterberg is asking the state legislature to stiffen the penalties for juveniles with guns, including making sure they get into intensive rehab early.
