April Final Friday’s Webinar: Developing Services for Domestic Violence Victims with Pets: Increasing Victim Safety and Offender Accountability

Please join us for this month's Final Friday's webinar, "Developing Services for Domestic Violence Victims with Pets: Increasing Victim Safety and Offender Accountability." Dr. Maya Gupta, Director of Ahimsa House in Atlanta, Georgia, will be presenting on the link between domestic violence and animal cruelty, how pets are often used by abusers in the cycle of domestic abuse, and the importance for developing services for domestic violence victims with pets. Dr. Gupta will also present on the work of Ahimsa House as a model and resources for these services. Ahimsa House provides emergency pet safehousing, veterinary care, pet-related safety planning, legal advocacy, a 24-hour crisis line, outreach programs, and other services to help the human and animal victims of domestic violence across Georgia reach safety together.
